Friends of KB19 is a vibrant group that supports Karachi Biennale, Pakistan’s largest contemporary Art event. The first Karachi Biennale KB17 was curated by Pakistan’s eminent artist Amin Gulgee and the curator of KB19 is the well-established artist and curator Muhammad Zeeshan. He is gearing up to showcase works from Pakistan and the rest of the world that will focus on the urgent concerns of Ecology. This will be accessible all over the city and free of charge. KB19 will host Pakistani and international artists, curators, collectors, gallerists and art enthusiasts.
KB19 is a project of Karachi Biennale Trust, a non-profit trust that was founded in 2016 by a group of art professionals and educators. Our patrons include prominent citizens like Mahvash Jahangir Siddiqui, Ronak Lakhani, Aftab Tapal, Rabiya Javeri Agha and Anwar Rammal among others.
In its short existence, Karachi Biennale has gained local and global recognition. It is a member of the New North South Network in UK and the prestigious International Biennale Association.
